APPEAL TO ALL AMERICANS ON BEHALF OF RON PAUL’S FOREIGN POLICY

If you don’t support Ron Paul because of his foreign policy I can understand because I was a traditional neoconservative type for much of my life. Upon digging into the facts, however, I now recognize that Ron Paul is on the right side of this issue.

The history of the Middle East and world in general, virtually all major surveys taken in Muslim streets, speeches delivered by Muslim leaders, and human nature confirm that meddling in the affairs of other countries and regions is the root cause of resistance, hatred, revenge, and terrorism.

Our meddling in the Middle East for more than 60 years by overthrowing governments (including democratic ones), invasions, occupations, setting up puppet governments and military bases came long before terrorism emerged as a reaction. There is no supporting evidence that organized radical Muslim terrorism results from hating us by nature, because of our religion, or lifestyle.

A universal characteristic of human nature is to be focused on creating a better life for ourselves and our children. Hatred, terrorism, and focus on what goes on in other countries come into play when our own way of life is violated or threatened by them. Until our heavy handed meddling in the Middle East we were rather liked and very much respected in the Middle East.

If a Muslim superpower meddled in our region for 60 years, invaded and occupied countries in North America, set up pro-Muslim puppet governments and military bases there would also be resistance, hatred, and no doubt some of us would also consider it justified to respond with the use of terrorism (even though terrorism should never be justified). Why, therefore, are we surprised that blowback emerges in reaction to our constant and consistent meddling in the Middle East during the course of 60 years?

We kept escalating the war in Vietnam to no avail but since leaving that country we now get along well. When under Soviet occupation the people of Eastern Europe despised and resisted the Russians on a daily basis. Now that the Soviets are out they are hardly given a 2nd thought in the people’s daily lives. Afghanistan practiced resistance and terrorism during the Soviet occupation of that country. Since Soviet departure and American entrance in that arena the hatred and terrorism has shifted to us. There is terrorism being committed by Muslims of Chechnya in an effort to free that country of Russian occupation.

Why then do we violate our Christian, national, and individual values to aggressively meddle in the affairs of others only to create more hatred and terrorism directed against us, while the vast majority of people around the world, and friendly leaders of other countries, warn against this course of action? Do not two of the most important commandments left by Jesus Christ not state “Love thy brother as you love yourself” and “Thou shell not kill?” Does not our Constitution, and did not our forefathers, warn against foreign entanglements and to respect the self-determination of all people whether we agree with them or not? Have we not been taught from early childhood to treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves?

History has proven over and over again that empires usually fall not from the strength of enemies but from their own over expansion. Many empires have tried to create a world in their own image by force and to date have all ultimately failed on each occasion.

If you can’t accept supporting Ron Paul’s foreign policy based on true Christian, national, and individual values that maintained the world’s respect for so many decades, then consider the fact that we simply cannot afford our current self-defeating warfare policy. Even if our meddling in the Middle East could create utopia for 30 million people in Afghanistan and 30 million people in Iraq, is it worth leading 312 million Americans into bankruptcy and full scale Depression during this process?

All evidence available thus far shows that our claims against Iran are basically as bogus as those used to justify the war in Iraq, except that the bombing of Iran would have far more serious negative consequences. Iran poses absolutely no threat to the United States. Even if Iran developed nuclear weapons it is unreasonable to believe that they would initiate a nuclear war against Israel as Iran would be toast within 24 hours. Contrary to the claims of so many Ahmadinejad never threatened to nuke Israel. And Iran has not started a war of aggression during its entire modern history, while we have started several, which included 3 acts of war committed against Iran alone.

This is not to say that Ahmadinejad does not represent a despicable dictatorship but we must consider how to deal with the situation with our own best interests and those of our children first. This also does not mean that Ron Paul does not believe in maintaining very strong defense. He absolutely does but that has little to do with constantly, and aggressively, meddling in the affairs of other nations.

Even after reading hundreds of documents that are readily available on the Internet, including those of our own government, which confirm all of the above, it took me a few years to accept the truth. Unfortunately, we don’t have a few more years to resolve these issues any longer thus I hope and pray that all Americans will take the time to examine the facts and accept the truth much more quickly than I did. This election will determine if we continue on the path to endless wars of self-destruction, bankruptcy, and full scale Depression within the next few years, or if we start the process of recovery under President Ron Paul.

Please feel free to pass on this appeal anywhere and everywhere possible in the interest of America’s future during this critical time in our history, and may God bless our nation.

American Taxpayer - The 1%?

I am scared. These Lamestream Media outlets sure do know what they are doing when it comes to fear-mongering amongst the American people. Everyday it seems that some new piece of legislation or bailout is occurring to drive us (the American Taxpayer/Worker) further into a debt that we did not create. My question then is why must we be held responsible for this debt?

Latest headlines today state that the FED and 6 of the Central Global banks announced that they will be “cutting dollar funding costs” to help ease the debt crisis. Now just what does this mean to me and the average American (whom’s $ the FED is spending/creating out of thin air)? Does this mean our interest rates will continue to decrease? —- because the interest rate on my home is already pretty damn low at 4.75% which is a quarter of what my parents rate was when they purchased their first home back in the day. BUT for some reason I do not believe that was the goal behind the latest action by these big banks. No this action was taken to ease investor concern in the market (which it surely did as the big SPIKE we saw today), however I DO. NOT. CARE. about investor concern, I want to know how these decisions are going to effect me today and 5 years from now. Will I be living in a country where one candy bar costs $50? or will I be living off of government stipends each month?  Will China own my house? etc……

Getting back to the reason of why today’s headline came about. It seems that Germany is the most stable country in the European Union. They were required to give up their Deustche Mark for the Euro among other concessions in order to join the EU after WWII. Well it seems that many of these EU countries have very little resources or means of income and have fallen tragically into worse shape than that of the US (assumed by me, no fact to prove this). Therefore these countries (Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal) are having to rely on Greece and France to determine how to proceed with the EU as a whole (try to continue and fix, or dismantle). The continuing and fixing of the EU would require Germany to bailout these countries, thus creating vassal countries of Germany (who would essentially own them). It seems that the Germans are not yet ready to committ to such measures, so they played the silent game and have done nothing…………….leaving the good Ole’ USA to handle the dirty work.

Thus the 6 Central banks have decided to decrease the cost of loaning money to these unstable economies. I find this unusual; in the insurance world I work in everyday, when a client has a higher risk factor we charge them more for coverage (similar to an interest rate and money based on credit risk), yet the United States Federal Reserve seems to do the opposite. In fact it seems to want to deplete our monetary value down to nothing. This isnt a worry for our friends at the FED though, because they are able to print as many greenbacks as they wish out of thin air. Sure wish that was the case with my finanicals, but alas it is not!

In response to this news, a commenter on Bloomberg’s site left the following:

"… and now you know why Merkel was holding out. She knew that if Germany feigned a bad back, Uncle Sucker would once again do the heavy lifting. The American taxpayer is the sucker of the world, and Obama makes sure his beloved socialism continues on. Relax, you said you wanted “redistribution”, and more money going to the “99 percent”, right? Well, it turns out the 99 percent lives outside the United States. Next time, be careful what you wish for.

It seems that a certain presidential candidate has already addressed such issues, despite these address’ falling upon deaf ears. Here is Ron Paul’s wisdom:

When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenue, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans.” —Ron Paul, 2012 Presidential Candidate

If we take the most open and honest politician of the past 50 years to heart, we know that a monetary policy that benefits politicians is usually a bad thing for the average American taxpayer (the 1%). We are used to bailout global economies, we are used to pay the unemployed’s living expenses (tatooes, drugs, and iPhones), and we are forced to do this without EVER BEING ASKED; it is taken from us each and every paycheck! WTF! The time is soon coming for Americans to take a stand for our rights and beliefs, because our current regime does a great job of making sure that freedom isn’t actually free.

I am the 1%.

Thomas Jefferson to the American People of 2012

Shame on you the leaders of America who have taken my country to the point of destruction with your modern two party one monopolistic elite establishment that robs the people of their wealth to satisfy the groups of special interest that finance and control you. Shame on you the mass media for serving as the mechanism to make this possible. And shame on you the people who have accepted this fate while being marched like sheep to the destruction of our country and your own well being.

Did I, and others, not warn you of the problems that would result from a large bureaucratic federal government, foreign escapades and entanglements, and banker control of our economy? Shame on you the American people who I envisioned to serve as a shining light by setting a good example for the rest of the world. Shame on you for instead producing, following, and taking seriously, big government spending flip flopping leaders such as Obama, Romney, Gingrich, and a Congress composed of self-serving scoundrels.

With deep sadness I have watched this process develop for many decades but I cannot remain silent any longer for if you don’t hear the bell of Liberty ringing now I fear that you will have given up America as we have known it for more than 200 years.

Therefore I appeal to the political leaders who still have a conscience to support one of the few leaders left who supports the Constitution and the rightful course for America’s recovery- RON PAUL. Many of you know better and need to decide if you will go down in history as a fellow patriot or be among those who sold out your country during one of its greatest times of need.

To those of you belonging to perhaps the most important profession responsible for preserving our great democratic Republic – journalism, I plead the case of equal coverage and time for the one true patriot in your current presidential race – Ron Paul. Many of the “debates” that I have seen resemble the promotion of certain candidates over others in a dictatorship.

To the people I plead to awaken before endless wars, bankruptcy, and Great Depression result in bitterness, anger, frustration, and violence against one another, which will destroy you into a 3rd world banana republic heavily equipped in arms but left with no spirit, no civil rights, and massive poverty from which it will be very difficult to recover. The final bell rings for preserving your Liberty by uniting under presidential candidate Ron Paul.

I appeal to the American people to unite under Ron Paul so that recovery can begin now, as maintaining the present course will no doubt lead to catastrophe and disaster within the next four years.

Yours in Liberty,
Thomas Jefferson

Five tough Questions for our President

I would like to add a 6th to Mr. Romney’s list:

6) WHAT THE HELL ARE WE PAYING YOU FOR?

When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion – when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing – when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors – when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you – when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice – you may know that your society is doomed.

The Free Lance: The Euro Crisis and the Deutsche Mark

thefreelance:

Perhaps I missed it, but there are far too many otherwise smart takes on the pending Euro currency collapse that somehow miss the core issue. The European Monetary Union which created the Euro was the price Europe extracted from Germany for German reunification. The French were quite explicit…
